Dear Achilleas ,
It was good to meet up with you again today at the London Boat
Show . I hope you enjoyed the Indoor event –some spectacular windsurfing
!
A very useful meeting , and saved us both a lot of time discussing
the details for the Notice of Race for the Europeans . I will forward
you a draft of the NOR later this week .
One of the benefits to me as Formula Chairman is having good knowledge
of the Regatta venue and the organiser . The Formula events in both
2002 and 2004 demonstrated both the excellence of the venue and
race site , and also the considerable capabilities of the organisation
behind the events .
I am confident you will deliver a memorable European Championships
; and we can look forward to the following three years of events
scheduled for Rhodes . You know it has been over 4 years now since
we first met in Thailand at the formation of the Class , and we
began working for the class , developing Formula racing .
Please be sure to pass on my thanks, on behalf of the Class , to
the Ministry of Tourism , the Municipality of Rhodes , Forum Hotels
, and all those other sponsors and helpers you enrol to support
the event .
